Progress – action and adventure

One thing I’ve discovered about writing is the need to keep the reader engaged – in other words, lots of action and adventure. Writing about a journey across half the planet involves lots of action and adventure – but the really hard part is writing about the mundane – the every day stuff that happens. Therein lies the challenge.
